If that sounds familiar, welcome to my world not too long ago.

See, growing up on a small farm meant that, while we always had food on the table, we didn’t have much else. The blue collar life, while admirable, certainly had its limitations.

And when I got accepted to University (amazingly), I did what any other young clueless son of a farmer would do...I stacked up some government loans.

I still wasn’t certain what I was going to do. I didn’t have a definite direction. I wasn’t sure how to make a living with my degree.

I looked at the people in our community who seemed to have a nice life and enjoy what they do. This led me back to Dr. Bill, my chiropractor.

Dr. Bill graciously showed me what it takes to be a chiropractor, why he loved his profession so much and advised me on the steps to become one.

Fast forward a few years, and I found myself with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a couple of small town practices that were slowly growing because of my determination, hard work, and sweat equity.

I hit a stride. I wasn’t living hand to mouth, my wife and I had children, a nice house, cars, boats, vacation property - all the things we’re supposed to.

But I was still unhappy. I still felt like I was missing something and life was passing me by. So, I tried what all the conference speakers preach: More Volume. Grow Your Revenue.

Well, that's the route I took and, sparing you the gruesome details, all that got me was unhappy, unfulfilled, and dog-tired on top of that.

Amazing isn’t it - when you increase volume like the “pros” tell you to do it actually results in MORE work to do!

I felt like I was failing my patients, my family, and myself.

In a moment of clarity (or maybe delirium from the long hours) I had a realization.

All this time I have been listening to others and doing what they tell me to do.

What if instead I take what they are telling me, what I’m reading, and what I’m learning and rather than just doing what THEY say to do and letting THEM lead me, I learn from them so that I can…

LEAD MYSELF.

So that’s exactly what I did. I started learning from people I never would have considered. I coalesced all these different teachings and ideas and devoted myself to learning all that I could in order to grow into a leader, not of others, but of myself.

And it worked.

And I can’t wait to show you how to do the same, because...

Huge blocks came tumbling down that were keeping me from happiness and fulfillment. Judgement, fears, pain, and guilt that I wasn’t even conscious of began to melt away.

I felt free and happy.

My work improved. My income grew. My family life got back on track.

I had broken through my plateau.

Things were going great. But then I began to see in my friends and peers signs of hitting the same walls I had just struggled through. Being on the other side of things that became clear.

Naturally, I wanted to share my epiphany with them. I wanted to help them to realize what I had come across.

But I had worked through a lot of things. My entire worldview had been shattered and reconstructed.

How could I even begin to help them? Where would I start?

And then, something occurred to me:
